The physical education class is designed to give each student an opportunity to choose a lifelong activity to enhance a healthy lifestyle. This class emphasizes physical conditioning, knowledge of physical movement, and performance in basic skills in individual and team sports, daily participation, social development and sportsmanship. Included is a three-week unit on first aid, nutrition, body composition, eating disorders and the President’s Physical Fitness Challenge. All classes are mixed in terms of grade level, gender, and skills.
